Trump 13: Death

The Death card is one that always shows up in movies right before a shootout, but this card doesn't mean literal death in most cases. You can think of the Death card as breaking up with your boyfriend, them finding out that, although there is no hope for reconciliation, you're pregnant with his child. The definite end of one thing but the beginning of something new that changes your life.

The transformation or change isn't necessarily bad. Remember their cliche "When one door closes, another opens?" That, in a nutshell, is the essence of the Death card. I should mention that, more than once, I have pulled the Death card before an unexpected trip to the emergency room at at my local hospital. The first time my son had an allergic reaction to a tick bite, the second the same child ate poke berries (which can be very dangerous). He was fine both times, however.

When I draw the card, I look at what is around it to see whether it indicates illness or something else. For instance, with the Sun card, I often take the time to evaluate my children's health since the Sun often indicates children. If the Ace of Cups were nearby, I might think about evaluating my romantic relationship. If you see the Death card, don't let fear be your first emotion. Change is an opportunity to evaluate what you want, where you are going, and then flow with the changes in a e way that makes your life more fulfilling. While there may be a definite ending on the horizon, a new beginning is also on its way.
